JOAN WASSER (Joan As Police Woman)
Tom Rose is by far the most enthusiastic, hard working and caring person I have ever worked with in the music business. Not only is he always thinking of new ideas to try, he actually puts them into action and makes them work!
In my experience, Tom is the only person who works as hard as I do AND he can have a conversation with you about The Smiths that will make you have to immediately
forget what you were in the middle of and go and listen to them!’
Tom has not lost his teenage obsession for music but is one of the only people that combines this with an ability to compete in the "adult" world of the music biz’. Is it clear enough? I love the guy! I am thankful everyday to be working with Tom!

CHRIS WOOD (Folk Singer of The Year 2009)
Tom Rose has a very rare quality in today's music industry, he is a music lover. This attribute combined with a sound instinct for the market place has consistently placed him ahead of the curve. He understands this industry is based on goodwill and doing exactly what you have promised to do.
Time and again I have seen Tom Rose's genuine love of real music, consistently signing and working with rising artists who later become main stage names. In the words of Ian Dury…"There ain't half been some clever bastards!”

MARTIN GREEN (Lau, Best Group BBC Folk Awards 2008-2010)
I have worked closely with Tom Rose on a large number of projects since 2006. Both in his capacity as our manager of (folk band) Lau and as our point of contact with record labels he has run. I have found him without exception to be honest, straightforward and extremely trustworthy. He has made good on all promises made, within the time-span agreed and within the budget agreed.
It is safe to say that neither Lau nor I would be in the fortuitous professional position we are without Tom’s endless hard work, far-sighted approach and deep understanding of many aspects of the music business. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

RAINY ORTECA (Dead Air / Joan As Police Woman)
Tom Rose is the most non "Music industry", label person I know. He's down to earth; a top-notch human being, navigating on a true course through a sea of egomaniacs and poseurs. He is exceptional at what he does.
I first began working with Tom Rose when he launched Reveal Records to put out Joan As Police Woman's first EP. As a member of the band for an EP, two full-length records and many world tours, I have worked and travelled with Tom extensively. Later, I had the privilege of working even more closely with his label as a solo artist. Reveal Records released Dead Air's very first project, and were it not for Tom, I my music might still be collecting "dust" on a computer hard drive in New York City. His enthusiasm for my work and his ability to see beyond my limited vision helped two songs become six, and then six songs turned into a mini album, which was released into the world. I was able to tour as a solo artist for the first time ever. From start to finish he was very generous and saw to it that I had the best experience possible. Falling on the shy end of the spectrum, I needed some boosts. Tom was there and his encouragement expanded my creativity. Not only was I artistically encouraged and motivated by him, but his experience and relationships in the business, yielded lots of effective press when the album came out.
Every step of the way I was so fortunate to have benefited from Tom's enthusiasm and real industry experience. His unyielding work ethic, strong creative input and an obvious love for what he does contribute so much to true indie collaboration. I felt that every ounce of effort I put forth was matched at least 120 percent. His support and ideas are steady though never overbearing. He is one of the most genuine music fans I've encountered. His instincts and years of running a very successful record shop have earned him well deserved respect him as a tastemaker. To that end, he only wants to work with an artist if he genuinely loves the music. It's because he comes from this place, I can always trust him to be a straight shooter professionally as well as personally. Having that confidence of someone I so trust and respect made it possible for me to realise a fragile pipe dream. Working with Tom Rose is truly a life changing experience.
(He's great at sequencing albums, too!)

Navigator Records & Proper Music Distribution MD Steve Kersley
We at Proper have known and worked with Tom Rose for over 15 years. Initially via his work in retail and latterly his Reveal Records label and finally together on the Navigator Records label. Tom is a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic individual with great musical and business knowledge. As the music industry continues to adapt to changing circumstances, Tom has the knack of adapting his skills and passion to best take advantage of new ways of working. We very much hope to be working with him for at least the next 15 years.

The Guardian said “Oh Gramercy we are in love” and comic Sarah Silverman even featured on the Reveal released, self titled 2008 album).
Tom Rose is a rare example of what people used to call a "music man" in the American music business. He represents all that the term A&R used to be and knows music from the inside out. Most importantly he loves music and the artists who make it. He can instantly spot what's wrong (or right) in a chorus, marketing plan or album design with equal acumen and precision and figure out how to make it infinitely better. He is relentless, tenacious and is always looking for new and creative ways to promote music and help the artists he believes in. He can explain the complexities and idiosyncrasies of the British music business and can explain it to thick, uncomprehending yanks like me! so if I found out it were possible to release records on the moon tomorrow Tom would be the first person I'd call!’
